Professor of Endocrinology, Kapodistrian University School of Medicine, Athens.

She has served as an Officer in the ExCo of the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and in the ExCo of the European Thyroid Association (ETA). She has served as chair of the Congress subcommittee and member of the Publication subcommittee of ESE and as chair of the Educational Committee of ETA. She has served in many POCs for European and Intenational Congress of Endocrinology. Editorial board member of several international journals (ETJ, ECED, Thyroid Research, Endocrine, Hormones, EJE). Until recently deputy Chief Editor of EJE. She has been the supervisor of many PhD students in Athens University.
She has 180 publications in peer reviewed medical journals. Her work has been cited >4000 times. Clinical and Research Interests: Thyroid carcinoma. Medullary thyroid carcinoma. Familial thyroid disease. Subclinical thyroid disease. Endocrine tumours.
